Another day, another project...

This job was completed 'the other week'

First the before pictures

And then the finished project

Driveway Landscape

Below are some pictures of a job James and Spencer did the other week. For some reason I never get to posting them right after the job is done, its always 'the other week'. Shame on me.

Sorta Busy Right Now

This blog is not expiring. It is only not as demanding as deadlines are on some projects we do. Hence it takes second place.

Wouldn't it be a shame if we would spend time writing about work that we should be doing but can't because of the fact that we're too busy writing on our blog about it? I can see that our hero status, if we have any, would tumble rather quickly, should that happen.

That's all for now. Just wanted to let you know we're not on vacation!

The Holiday is over...

The Labor(less) holiday is now in the rear view mirror, marking the unofficial end of summer.

We will see if we can accomplish anything profitable this week, or if the holiday set us back so far that we can only find comfort in the thought of 5:00 Friday.

Here we go......See you there!

Payday!!

Everybody is hoopin' and hollerin' around here because its payday. Yeah, even the boss is, albeit for a very different reason then the employees.

The reason for this seeming useless post: I'm posting it straight from my email, which hopefully will be a way to post a quick note when I check my email.

Island Landscape

We make Islands.

Island beds, that is.

We did the landscaping around the house right after it was built, and then James when back two weeks ago and created this interesting piece.

In Progress

Finished

If you think that this island looks good, but don't know why, here is why I think it does:
  • Natural Rock Walls give the bed solid definition, which is very important for landscape areas that are not 'attached' to a house or structure.
  • Good size plant material. Small plants in a big bed tend to look like short jeans on a tall man.
  • Proper color matching. Your wife can explain this theory to you.
Disclaimer: The author of this blog had nothing at all to do with the design or installation of this island bed, other than paying the person who did. Therefore the author is not inflating his head by stating the above points.
